The church of St. John the Russian is located in Prokopi, of Kireas, in northern Euboea. Thousands of believers visit the relics of St. John the Russian every year and pray to his grace. The relics of The Saint were transferred by refugees from Prokopi that was located in Asia Minor, after the Asia Minor Catastrophe and the population exchange in 1924.
The template started to be built in 1930 in order to host the relics. After several years and enough sweat of believers, the church was completed in 1951. The Saint, and remains there till today.
The memory of St. John the Russian is celebrated on May 27th.
